Going green to promote sustainability and wellbeing

Box Architects have been celebrating Green Week at our studios in Leeds and London.

Events to coincide with London Climate Action Week were held from 1 July to help us think about the impact we have on our environment, and to promote sustainability, health and wellbeing in a practical and visible way.

Themes included the avoidance of single use plastic, reduction of car use in favour of public transport – and reduction in public transport use in favour of cycling and walking. We also took an energy challenge to reduce electricity use, and better understand the impact of everyday items such as kettles, printers and computers.

We donated to the bike library at Leeds Bike Mill, donated clothes to the St George Crypt homeless charity and Scope, and raised money for WWF by making and selling healthy smoothies at work.
