Brassey House, Walton-on-Thames

Former 1957 Film Location for The Naked Truth to be converted into chic apartments

Brassey House, in the heart of Walton-on-Thames is undergoing a conversion from its current office buildings function to be transformed into a chic apartment complex. With an eclectic history of former conversions, once even used as a key film location for the shooting of The Naked Truth, in 1957, Brassey House presented Farleigh Property with some structural creases which needed to be ironed out with skilled architectural designs.

With a fast track delivery programme for Summer 2018, Box Architects is working with Farleigh Property to resolve key design challenges, taking into account varying structures with the current building and its regency style façade. To make the development project work, we worked with Development Investor Bmor on detailed planning to maximising the space utilization and provide a high specification. Box has also advised on a suitable upgrade of the current fabric to meet sustainable energy and acoustic standards.

The 30-apartment development will be a fine example of contemporary design of the highest quality. Situated within commutable distance to London and within walking distance of Walton-on-Thames’ shops, restaurants and the Thames’ leafy banks, Brassey House will offer stylish new homes, in an idyllic setting.

  • Intelligent design to secure planning and a development that works
  • Achieved harmonious result with varying differing structural types within the building
  • Accomplished knowledge of sustainable energy and acoustic standards
