Visa’s largest global innovation centre provides immersive environment
The largest in Visa’s global network of innovation centres was conceived as an immersive environment where Visa can work side-by-side with financial institutions, merchants and other partners to develop the next generation of payment solutions.
Box Architects was appointed by CBRE in November 2016 to work with concept designers Futurebrand in the design development and technical delivery. The project was delivered to an extremely fast-track programme, ready for its global launch in February 2017.
The 1,000-plus square metre space now provides hi-tech facilities that support the product development process. Features include a Bentley ‘connected car’, which was craned in through the existing first floor glazed façade, a giant 3.6m x 2m Cisco ‘touch’ and several bespoke ‘connected’ collaboration spaces. The brief required an exceptionally high-quality finish – from diverse specialist joinery to the integration of cutting-edge AV systems.
In order to provide a comfortable and creative (as well as high tech) environment, the advanced technical installations were counterbalanced by the use of a palette of natural colours, materials and textures with subtle yet dynamic lighting and live trees.
- Largest innovation centre in global network
- Fast track design and delivery
- Balanced high-tech delivery and creative environment
