We are excited to be working on the design of the brand-new Leisure Centre in Edlington, which will serve both the local community and Sir Thomas Wharton Academy. Located on the school grounds, the facility will offer easy access for students while being open to the wider public.
The centre will feature a 20-metre, 4-lane swimming pool, a 35-station gym, a well-being studio, and a café with a viewing gallery. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to support the health and fitness of all users, offering modern amenities for both recreational and educational purposes.
We’re thrilled to have been involved from the very early stages of the project, working closely with ReCreation and Doncaster Council to ensure the development meets the needs of the local community. The design prioritises accessibility, sustainability, and environmental responsibility, with the goal of achieving BREEAM Very Good to ensure the highest environmental standards. Most importantly, the design is centred on promoting the well-being of both the local community and the school.
